The videos for Fever Ray’s new album have been nothing short of breathtaking. The same goes for her new video “Keep The Streets Empty For Me”. Here it is! Don’t forget to check out the site for the producers of the video here. They have done videos for Moto Boy and a handful of other swedes. Enjoy!
Mr. Suitcase had an amazing album come out last year, and it was completely for free. It was a great mix of pop/hip hop/dance music that made the top of my list as one of the best releases in Sweden. Now he is back! Though this came out back on January 5th it’s worth it. He recorded a live show in Uppsala Sweden with the hopes of releasing it as an official live album. Lack of the crowd being heard on the recording changed things completely:
“Unfortunately, very little sound was picked up from the audience and when the atmosphere wasn’t caught on tape I didn’t think it was worth doing something with. But since I went through the trouble of recording the thing, I figured I might as well post it here.”
So, here you go ladies and gents. Mr. Suitcase @ Klubb Rotor is definitely worth it. Enjoy!
O’Spada are a little outfit from Stockholm, Sweden. Julia O’Spada the leading lady of this group can really belt it out! She is a wonderful singer who makes this soulful 80’s pop synth heavy 5 piece one of most addicting bands of the year. It sounds like Michael Jackson is alive and well in the music we have today. Check out the two first singles “Time” and “Ten Strikes”. I added links for where I got all the remixes from so make sure you go to those places and show your thanks. Enjoy everything!
You Say Party! We Say Die! are back with a new album, XXXX. It is out now so go out and get it! Here is a live song off the new album, There Is XXXX (Within My Heart). It is performed at Babylon Nightclub in Ottawa Canada on November 14, 2009. For a review of the show head here. Enjoy!
First Aid Kit are signed to Rabid Records owned and operated by Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer of The Knife. They have a great folk sound like no other. Beautiful voices harmonizing, melodic guitar and soothing piano all together give us First Aid Kit.
Beck has helped Charlotte Gainsbourg produce her new album, IRM, which was released a few days ago. So far from what I have heard it’s our perfect Charlotte at her best. The only difference is you can hear Beck coming through her in the music. I don’t think it’s a bad thing necessarily, but I liked her sound more when you knew it was just her being a lot more French. Enjoy this amazing video, it’s like the mind of a child with ADD. Enjoy!
Tim Burton coming to New York’s Museum of Modern Art has been one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year. With the public opening drawing near, November 22nd, people are getting restless. Here is a video Directed by Tim Burton himself just to wet your appetite.
