Throw Back Y’all: The Fugees

Filed under: Pras, The Fugees, Wyclef Jean — seysomething @ 8:19 am

The Fugees. Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras. They dropped a album ‘Blunted on Reality’ that was something no one even touched. From Wyclef sampling Enya on “Ready or Not” and the cover of “Killing Me Softly” took them to another level on “The Score”. Everyone went solo and Wyclef’s solo album goes double platinum and Lauren gets recognized as one of the most influential black female vocalists of the century. Fugees were a part of my life growing up and will for the rest of my life. That is your throw back! Enjoy!

“You never think that being in a basement in Newark New Jersey that this stuff would reach another country…” – Wyclef Jean

Filed under: Dance, Pop, Remixes, Stina Stjern, Triobelisk — seysomething @ 8:26 am April 27, 2009

Triobelisk has remixed Stina Stjern’s “The Horizon” and it’s a great pop dance track. She is going to be providing vocals on a new release from Triobelisk. If you like this sound then look out for it when it drops. You now know that I love my Swedes, my people in Denmark and those dang people from Norway. I am missing out on Finland.

Enjoy!
