Wolfmother: Back Around

Filed under: Australia, Modular, Rock, Wolfmother — seysomething @ 8:39 am

So, we all know that things didn’t go so smoothly after Wolfmother’s debut album and non stop touring. The band fell apart because of “irreconcilable differences”, and lead singer Andrew Stockdale continued on! Now with a new song out and a album ready for summer things are looking up. Here is the new song ‘Back Around’ thanks to Modular!

Vyle is back with a new track and a remix for all of you to hear! His best was when Danger had him in his Live set early last year. Now with this new song and remix, playing SXSW w/ Cool Kids, Raekwon, A-Trak and Busy P, and being featured on the new Danger EP he is set to blow up any minute now. Enjoy these until you hear him on DANGER’S EP “9/16/2007″ out on March 30th via Ekleroshock Records. Enjoy!

Empire Of The Sun: Kotchy Remix

Empire of The Sun’s album last year was on for the ages. Getting to hear The Sleepy Jackson join with some PNAU as a psychadelic pop phenom was spectacular. As you know by now remixes keep songs strong and alive for years to come. One of Empire Of The Suns’ best songs is their acoustic ballad ‘We Are The People’. Kotchy takes the song and gives it life in these Spring days. It will fight its way through Spring and into every Summer mix this year. The single is out now and has a remix by Sam La More. It also has two remixes of ‘Walking On A Dream’ by Danger and Neon Neon. Enjoy the song! Also, make sure to head over to RCRD LBL.

Are you ready for that dub shit you heard about? I mean that gritty shit that makes you move so much it hurts! Here is a podcast brought to you via Stones Throw. It is Gaslamp Killer live at their Hella International show. Dub/Hip-Hop is what you will hear and won’t be disappointed! Just wait to about 8 minutes in when Ghostface tears it up. One of his best songs! I’m already spinning it for a second time now and it’s flawless. It also has some very bizzare artwork. Enjoy!

The Mary Onettes: Dare

Filed under: Indie, Labrador, Sweden, The Mary Onettes — seysomething @ 6:55 am

The Mary Onettes are back with a new single ‘Dare’ that is a indie masterpiece. The band is just a year shy of being together a decade and they still sound better than these one hit wonder indie sensations. Just another Swedish band to add to one of the best countries for indie rock geniuses. ‘Dare’ has the sound of a Smiths song, but with the violin makes it something special you would hear in a Sofia Coppola flick. It’s their first single in two years and will be released on April 29th as an official release. Here it is for you now thanks to Labrador! Enjoy!
