First off he is SWEDISH. He has remixed some of Sweden’s most recent pop phenoms. He even made a trip to US by remixing The Magnetic Fields “Three-Way”. Now he has remixed a song we all know and love. It almost feels like PB&J’s “Young Folks” has been around for years. Well, come next week it will be about 3 years and Klumpfisk doesn’t want us to forget it. His rework of this classic song is something everyone should hear. Don’t forget to check out his other remixes. Enjoy!

Skeng, skeng. Dub War NYC was pretty crazy last night. It had it’s let downs, but when the beat drops it destroyed the place. Last Dub War of the year. See you there next year. Skeng. Buuurnt. L Ride. HELLLLLLLO!

Even though the Black Lips are not one of my favorite bands they have a sound I do enjoy. It reminds me of being in a local band years ago. They have that gritty in your face party sound. What they may miss in beautiful arrangements are made up with raw integrity. With the lead single off of their new album “200 Million Thousand” things look like they haven’t changed a bit. The song name “Starting Over” has the idea, but lacks the ground of just that. They are still the same and that might be okay for you, but I want to give the album a chance. It will be released February 24th in the states. I also added the first single. Enjoy!

I already posted about Hot Chips new EP.
Here is another song off the Hot Chip Ep featuring Robert Wyatt and Geese. This is for “We’re Looking for a Lot of Love”. This song sounds like the best song to listen to during the last moments of a television show. When everything is so chaotic, but you can still find a common ground in the sound of the song. This should also be playing next to every Christmas tree on Christmas morning.

Fukkk Off released a killer of an EP with one of my favorite songs from this year “Rave Is King”. We all know Le Castle Vania’s way of remixing by now. All the song needs are those lyrics about drugs and alcohol and he takes it to another level with his fidget synths and loud crashing drums. Happy Holidays kids! Enjoy!

Buffet Libre vs. Sidechains remix of Little Boots cover of Freddie Mercury’s Love Kills. That was a mouthful right? This is the last premiere from the new Rewind 2 Project by Buffet Libre. This is there 70’s, 80’s & 90’s cover project with the best of now covering the best of yesterday. Little Boots is perfect for this electro rendition of a Freddie Mercury masterpiece. When adding the creators of the project and Sidechains to handle the remixing it turns it into a instant classic. Don’t forget to get the whole mix on 1-1-09. It drops the first day of the new year and a lot of good names are involved. I will make a post about it for all of you lazy people. Enjoy!
